The New York City Section of the IES publicly honors five individuals for their voluntary service, and dedication to enhance, polish and highlight the NYC lighting community.

The IESNYC Brilliance Award is presented by the New York City Section of the IES to individuals for their dedicated service to the Section and their contributions to the NYC Lighting Community. 

2009 IESNYC Brilliance Award is presented to:

C. Brooke Carter Silber, of Domingo Gonzales Associates

Elizabeth Donoff, editor of Architectural Lighting magazine

The IES Section Service Award is presented in recognition of outstanding individual service to a Section, principally of a non-technical nature, that has significantly furthered the purpose of the Society continuously over 5 years in various programs and activities. 

2009 IES Section Service Award is presented to:

Wendy Kaplan, of Amerlux

Brian Belluomini, Lighting Consultant

The IES Meritorious Award is presented in recognition of outstanding individual service to a Section, principally of a non-technical nature, that has significantly furthered the purpose of the Society continuously over 15 years in various programs and activities. 

2009 IES Meritorious Award is presented to:

Manny Feris, of Lutron Electronics
