The structures alone that were created for the Beijing Olympics are architectural marvels. However, the way that they were illuminated during the Opening Ceremonies, I think, made them even more impressive. Light in general was used in such a way throughout the Opening Ceremonies that made the production so visually stimulating. But the Bird's Nest (as it is now so endearingly referred to) gives off such a nice glow, reflecting the traditional Chinese red and gold in a way that the colors fade into each other. Overall, I would have to say that China has overwhelmingly succeeded in serving as a wonderful host for the Olympics.

I agree, The lighting is all spectacular. I'm curious to know about some of the lighting they did during the opening ceremonies -- absolutely brilliant!
